The idea of starting a Tour Operators business started during 2007. I was employed at a Retail Company as a Regional Manager and visited stores from Cape Town to the Garden Route which is 500km away from home. My wife Edith and I love traveling.

During the past years, we have traveled all throughout Southern Africa, including the provinces of the Western Cape, Northern Cape, North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Free State and Gauteng. We have also enjoyed traveling to our neighbouring countries such as Lesotho, Swaziland, Botswana and Zimbabwe.

Through careful planning and research of the tourism industry, I studied to become a Tour Guide. Once qualified as a National Tour Guide, I then established "AVENSA TOUR TRANSFERS AND SAFARIS." The name derives from the following:

A for Accommodation as my wife, Edith, established the Berglelie Bed and Breakfast three years ago. She worked in the bank sector and she decided to follow her dream and has since then never looked back. The Berglelie Bed and Breakfast is situated in Paarl, the heart of the Cape wine lands. Paarl is situated 40 km from the Mother City, Cape Town and guided tours are done from here or any other starting point as stipulated on the Tour Routes.

VEN is a abbreviation of our surname VENTER. This family name arrived in the Cape of Good Hope during 1652 and is part of the history of this diverse, beautiful country.

SA stands for SOUTH AFRICA were we will travel with you and will strive do give you a holiday experience of a lifetime and ensure that you experience the country with all its splendour and introduce you to the people of the land.
